- Gipfel Restaurant
Fine local food and a genuinely warm welcome combine in the restaurants on the Kitzsteinhorn mountain. From traditional ski huts to fine dining locations, there is plenty to choose from no matter what your taste of budget. Three of the highlights are the Gletschermühle, the Restaurant Alpincenter and the Gipfel...
The Gipfel Restaurant is Salzburg's highest restaurant at an incredible 3,029 metres above sea level. Next to the ski lifts, it offers fine food served and amazing views of numerous peaks over 3,000 metres. There is a self-service are and a table-serving restaurant called the Schmittenblick. The Restaurant Gletschermühle is another table-service restaurant, this time located on the sunny plateau next to the Alpincenter at 2,450 metres. The cuisine is fresh, traditional and regional. On sunny days we recommend sitting on the large terrace with views of Kaprun and the Zeller See lake.
Both restaurants are members of Via Culinaria – Genussweg für Hüttenhocker, a regional association with the aim of promoting traditional cooking and local produce. Last but certainly not least there is the Alpincenter, a restaurant designed as a traditional market where diners can wander from stand to stand and choose what they would like to eat.
