Public library
Falkenbachwandgasse 18, 5710 Kaprun, Austria

The Kaprun library was founded in 1956 and renovated and redesigned in 2012.

Currently, one manager and five volunteers work in the library. With a lot of idealism and commitment, they not only provide up-to-date reading material and new media for young and old. A diverse programme of events (literature evenings, readings, literature breakfasts, picture book cinema, reading lessons, book start projects, writing workshop…) is intended to awaken and promote the reader interest of people in and around Kaprun. Over the past decades, the Kaprun Era Library has developed into a communication centre and meeting place for people of all ages and intends to continue to provide exciting literary experiences in the future. The library is managed by seven volunteers. Our team:

  • Irmgard Hauer (Head)
  • Hemma Glittenberg
  • Bärbel Langeder
  • Anna Enn
  • Heidi Steinbauer
  • Margit Grießner

We are happy to provide you with advice and assistance during opening hours.
