The Kaprun company fire brigade was founded in 1939 as a factory fire brigade of the Alpenelektrowerke.
With the foundation of Tauernkraftwerke AG in 1947, it became a company fire brigade of the Tauernpower Plants Kaprun and a member of the Salzburg Fire Brigade Association.
