In the Late Iron Age about 14,000 Years ago, the Kapruner Valley was covered by a mighty Glacier. Slowly flowing downstream, he worked the hard Limestone Climate Slate rocks of the corn and Brush cone.
The melted Glacier left a Valley cut through which the Cape Runer Ache Streamed downward. More than 30 Meters deep and 320 Meters long, the Kapruner Ache Has “cut” your Way through the Kapruner Valley. Today, the Sigmund Thun Klamm and the Klammsee Are an Excursion destination for the whole family – rather for Young and Old and almost at any Time of the year.
For Example, it has its own Charm to swell along Lake Klamm in Late Autumn, through the fallen Foliage of the Trees. In the Summer you meet here Not only Locals but also some Tourists – the Gorge is also a real Treasure of Kaprun.
